Who this helps

Security settings should not be remembered only after something goes wrong. For a trading tool, account, devices, and notification channels all deserve regular review.

Five minutes each month reviewing logged-in devices, password manager, two-factor setup, and notification permissions is easier than reacting to a suspicious login.

A practical setup order

  • Download only from official pages or app stores.
  • Enable two-factor authentication and store recovery codes safely.
  • Review logged-in devices and remove old ones.
  • For email links, type the official address manually before logging in.

Common traps

  • Ad-driven download pages can look close to official pages.
  • Keeping recovery codes only on one computer becomes a problem if the device is lost.
  • Alert emails and phishing emails can look similar if you do not check the domain.

What to review later

  • Does two-factor authentication still work?
  • Are there any unfamiliar logged-in devices?
  • Does your bookmarked entry point use the correct domain?
